ProspectingSecrets

If you’ve ever been to any of my Workshops, Seminars or LIVE Prospecting Training Calls, Leadership Calls or any Training Calls, you will have heard me talk about Words,

Tonality and Body language. Today I am going to say that your language will either

make, or break your success.

It’s true.

Your thoughts become your words.

Your words become your actions.

Your actions become your habits.

Your habits become your character.

And your character becomes your destiny.

So be careful of your thoughts.

Bottom line, since thoughts become words
and what words people use when speaking determine where
they are in their lives, their language is a dead giveaway.

Here’s what I mean:

Has anyone ever asked you, “How hard do I have to work to be
successful?”

I hear it a lot, simply because I talk to a lot of people.

It kind of seems like a strange question, doesn’t it?

There are only 3 possible answers though:

(1) I’ll try.
(2) I’ll do my best.
(3) I’ll do whatever it takes.

Answers 1 and 2 mean failure, 100% failure in almost every thing you could possibly want do and not just MLM, but actually in life. Try all you want. Life and MLM are both too hard to just “try”.

What about trying your best?

Your best isn’t good enough…PERIOD!

To illustrate what I mean here let’s say you and I had gone fishing in my beautiful new boat, and after only half an hour of fishing YOU get a bite and it is a huge very powerful fish! You are caught totally by surprise and are dragged overboard by this monster. You scream “HELP me, Save me, I can’t swim!!” Then I lean over the boat and look down at you and say “I’ll TRY ” Now how would that make you feel “Super Confident?”

The reason is, that you weren’t born with what it takes to build
a huge network filled with people who believe in your company’s
product, service or opportunity.

Your best isn’t good enough. You must get BETTER!

You must be willing to do WHATEVER it takes.

Whatever it takes, for however long it takes, is truly what it
takes.

And herein lies HOT Leadership #8…

“You must work more on yourself, than on any other area of your
business.” “Because What You See Is What You Get” So You better build a

very strong and emotionalized picture of the future you are wanting to have.

Become a Leader by developing more character, by developing
more influence and developing other leaders.

When you get better, your success will follow.

Remember, you will never out-perform your own Self Image
and your Personal Income will never exceed your Personal Growth.

Therefore You will only Ever Have, Do Or Be as much

as You Decide to.

Afterall, What is the alternative?

Give 80,000 of the best hours of your life to an employer. That program
has a 95% failure rate.

Do whatever it takes.

Work more on yourself than on any other area of your business.

So to sum it up when you hear this “Well that sounds really interesting and I

am prepared to give it a TRY!” You Should say “Thanks for your Time But I am looking for someone that will do whatever it takes” that way you won’t fool yourself that you have a hot prospect or great new Leader in your business. Move on…fast.

Until HOT Leadership Tip #9, take it to the top!

“The Eight Secrets {Plus 1} You Must practise to Ensure You Join The Multilevel Marketing Millionaires Club”
By: Axel Henriksen

“The Wizard Of wealth”

Eight Secrets You Must Know to Become an MLM {Make Lotza Money} Success

1. You Must Have Quality Products
If you’re considering joining a multi-level marketing opportunity, Look for a multi-level business that has, quality products with a good reputation. Never waste your time trying to sell anything that is not of excellent quality. Quality products are the starting point of your success in business. You can never build a long and lasting business on shoddy second rate products.

2. Look for Competitive Prices
Look for a company that has prices that compare favorable with the competition. Remember, nobody’s going to pay more for your product or service if they can get the same or equivalent somewhere else at a lower price. So check the price comparisons.Better still find a Unique or patented product that has no competition or comparision.

3. Demand a Money Back Guarantee
The company must offer a 100 percent unconditional money-back guarantee. In other words, the product must be so good and the company is prepared to stand behind it so strongly that they’re willing to give a 100 percent refund guarantee on anything that they sell. That’s a very good rule for starting and building any business. Now some companies have weak 30 day only guarantees and others will be prepared to offer 12 month guarantees to both it’s Customers and Distributors.

4. Carry a Small Inventory
There should be a small or zero inventory requirement for you to carry any stock. You should be able to get into a multi-level marketing business with very little money. Not more than a hundred dollars, you should avoid any programme that requires you to invest 1000’s of into products unless their is a Major benefit For YOU. Nowadays the best and most advanced companies drop ship every product directly to your customers door, I strongly suggest you seek out companies that can offer you that.

5. Keep Good Records
The company provides prompt delivery and efficient internal bookkeeping. A multi-level marketing business that’s well organized will be able to deliver your products within 24 or 48 hours for you to sell, or deliver to your customers. They’ll also take very good care of the books and give you accurate financial statements each month. The best companies today will have company websites and order tracking systems for you the distributor and your customers. You should be able to use these sites and to monitor your income and deliveries and in many cases for you and your clients to order products.

6. Seek a Strong Support Organization
This is perhaps as important, if not more important, than anything else. Look for a support organization that will offer you training, that will give you seminars on product knowledge, that will give you motivation, and give you opportunities for personal and business development. Many people who have started with multi-level marketing companies have gone on to be very successful in their own businesses because of the training they got from the multi-level company. If the company doesn’t have a training system, try to find a company that does. There are many varying levels of support and today the very best companies will have a very strong training bias and yet even more important is that you join with a TEAM that has a Proven System that they use with their new recruits to achieve Success FAST. In 2008 it will Vital that you are aligned with a TEAM that can provide you with the latest up todate marketing methods and if they are not online …FORGET IT!!!

7. Honesty is the Best Policy
You must require honesty and integrity. Make sure that the parent company has an impeccable reputation in the marketplace. Remember it has to be a company that you can be proud of. You should never have to make excuses for the company you’re working for. Honesty must also be From You to your Mentor and Coach so they can help You reach your goals.

8. Products Should be Consumable
Your Products should be consumable, leading to reorders and repeat business. You should try to sell a product that people use up on a regular basis, so that if they’re happy with it, they’ll continue to reorder and reorder and reorder. And once you get a customer, sometimes you can have a customer for years. Health products are some of the very best to sell as there are major trends pointing to a shift away from Drugs that only mask the symptoms to products that promote health naturally. Natural eco friendly cleaning products are another very desirable product today. There are products from every sector imaginable today so find a product should be easy …just make sure you do Your “DUE DILIGENCE” because most people get excited and join and then start finding out the “Things” they should have before joining.

Plus 1
Now once you have done all of that you must now do the things that are required for success:

1. Join the company of your choice.
2. Decide to be successful {Most people forget this step}
3. Do all of the appropriate actions to become successful
4. Create Momentum = massive action
5. Blockout your work time in your diary and actually Do the work at those times No matter what.
6. Remember that you must first learn the skills required to be successful before you have success, which means invest in your education every single day.
7. Never let anyone steal Your Dream Use Dream and Goal building Tools Daily.
8. Become an example that other want to copy.
Plus 1 NEVER EVER QUIT UNTIL YOUR ARE SUCCESSFUL-JUST FIND A BETTER WAY

EXTRA BONUS>>>Millionaire MLMers Never ever change companies because that never allows them to take advantage of the magic ingredient “TIME” which like compound interest only builds up over a very long and steady process…..if you withdraw to early or switch you lose it all and have to restart all over again…….Sometimes it maybe the only way due to Circumstances beyond your control????

Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do to put these ideas into action:

First, look for a product that you really like, will use and enjoy yourself personally. You can only sell something to someone else if your heart is in it. And if your heart is in it you will enjoy using the product yourself and have absolutely no problems in recommending that your closet friends and family should at least try it. Now this doesn’t mean you have to be in love with the companies Whole product range just one or two is enough and remember your customers may think differently to you? They may love entirely different products than you.

Second, look for a product that has something new or special that makes it different and better than any other similar product in the market today. The number one reason that any product fails is because it is not superior to and different from the competition. Now here the strange thing is , if a product is brand new to the market and unknown or has no track record , it can be very difficult to market. Best advise here is to find a company and product that has been on the market for at least 3 - 5 years and Never Ever get involved in a “Startup or Pre-Launch” because most fail before ever getting going!! Don’t waste your Most Valuable asset Your Time on The MAYBE, rather instead spend and invest your time on something that can actually produce results NOW!

How to work with Gen Y “faults” to recruit and manage better

A SmartCompany survey of employers has found that most believe Gen Y can’t spell and they don’t understand what is appropriate behaviour at work. Others are working around their faults by adapting their recruitment processes and management models - here are their tips.

SmartCompany’s survey, conducted with Roy Morgan Research and Dun & Bradstreet, involved 315 SME owners across the country. An article on the SmartCompany website shows the survey found almost 70 per cent of them are dissatisfied with Gen Y’s spelling and grammar, and their failure to act “appropriately” in corporate environments.

They were more ambivalent about Gen Y’s communication skills (48% dissatisfied), and more positive about their technical skills (37% dissatisfied).

The employers were much more aligned in their perception of Gen Ys being more “demanding” than others when it comes to advancing their careers (90%) and getting the latest high-tech gear (94%).

Communicate with technology

Despite the general negativity reported in the survey, some employers have accepted their “faults” and found ways to work around them.

Simon Trewin, who owns Tasmanian-based café and catering company 4lunch, says he takes advantage of their aptitude with technology to communicate messages they would otherwise ignore.

He says Gen Y won’t pay attention to a memo on the noticeboard at work, but they’ll read a text message containing the same information.

He says: “We did the same when we were looking for new staff: we sent texts to all staff and offered them a movie ticket for every person that applied and although we had far less applications than if we had an ad in the paper, it was a lot cheaper and more of them were qualified and ready to go.”

Trewin adds that Gen Ys get distracted very quickly, but this has a positive flipside - they’re very quick on the uptake and take change in their stride. He ensures he moves Gen Y staff around different parts of the business, which has the upside of meaning that they can cover for others in a pinch.

Top 10 tips for managing Gen Y

Another survey participant, Margaret Kirby from recruitment firm the iGroup, says Gen Y are high maintenance and have “a degree of ‘ADD-ism’”. She says to keep them on track, they need a huge amount of training and constant feedback.

Her top 10 tips for recruiting and managing Gen Y are:

  1. Retention starts with recruitment. “Gen Y candidates are interviewing you just as much as you are them. Be upfront about what differentiates your organisation, how your people have developed and progressed and what future opportunities are available to them.”

  1. Be flexible. “Work/life balance is vital to Gen Y individuals. Develop a flexible work/life plan that suits both them and the company and acknowledge their interests outside of work.”
  2. Provide the ‘why’. “Put the Gen Y job in context. Provide them with the big picture and then narrow it down to demonstrate the important part they each play in contributing to it.”

  1. Provide regular and constructive feedback. “The once-yearly annual review is not enough for Gen Ys. They require and seek constant feedback and more involved management.”

  1. Set clear career paths and determine goals. “Set realistic, time-bound goals and make it clear that achievement will equal promotion. Then make a plan with the employee and monitor their progress.”

  1. Coaching and mentoring appeals to this demographic. “Gen Ys have grown up in the era of self-help gurus and a culture of ongoing personal development. Offering coaching and mentoring will demonstrate that you’re in touch with their needs.”

  1. Salary, salary, salary. Part of the attraction of a job for Generation Y is the lifestyle it will afford. When setting their salary, make sure you outline financial and professional milestones that they can achieve. Make it clear, however, that more money means longer hours and adjustments to their work/life balance.”

  1. Develop an organisational culture that includes everyone. “To most Gen Ys, an inclusive culture is one that rewards individual achievement and promotes on merit rather than tenure. It’s important not only to create a good working environment, but also to encourage flexible working arrangements.”

  1. Watch your words. “As a manager of Gen Ys, it’s important to lose the ‘command and control’ leadership style and use more emotional intelligence. Gen Ys are happiest when will feel they are being listened to and respected, and in return, they perform better.”

  1. Practise what you preach. “The more you walk the talk, the greater trust and loyalty you will build with Gen Y. Be certain to follow your words with action. If you disappoint them, you will quickly lose their respect.”

How To Effectively Use Offline Advertising To Build Your Online Business
by Axel Henriksen

First of all let me say that having spent the past 42 years working closely with small and large businesses all over the world and I know exactly what works when it comes to offline advertising. What I have found today is that that online businesses have a built in advantage when it comes to promoting their business offline. That’s assuming that You already have a website and autoresponder in place to lead your prospect to Check out this site: www.xtrapay4u.com. If You Don’t already have a Website Checkout:www.web-site-wizards.com When you combine that fact along with the traditional capture methods of telephone and snail mail there is no reason any online business can’t use offline methods to build their businesses and sell their products and services. A lot of online based businesses forget about offline advertising until just recently when these new kidz on the block finally realised that they had been missing a large part of the market and are now evangalising my tried and true offline methods :-) . It is important to combine offline and online advertising together in your marketing campaign Check out www.onlineofflineinformationmarketing.com. This will give you a more well rounded approach to promoting as well as attract potential prospects and customers you might not otherwise get. In all your offline advertising you want to include your web site address, e-mail or autoresponder addresses, and your phone number and mailing address. This gives you the appearance of a real bonafide business. Finally you need to view offline marketing as a long term commitment. I’ve seen businesses over and over run an advertisement, not get the response they were looking for, and quit. This will not work offline. Or online for that matter. You need to establish a budget and stick to it. That doesn’t mean that you can’t change the advertising copy if your response is marginal. It just means if you are going to run classified ads for example that you run them for a period of time and allow them to do their job. Here are 10 offline marketing ideas. Use as many of these as possible to move your business forward.

- Classified Newspaper Ads - Place classified ads in newspapers. Local newspapers often have great advertising rates that you can take advantage of to promote your business. Here’s a great source for running classified ads. http://www.nationwideadvertising.com

- Put up flyers. They could be in computer stores, libraries, restaurants, car windshields, or anywhere you shop that allows flyers.

- Direct mail. A nice direct mail piece when done consistently over a period of time can bring tremendous exposure for your business. The biggest benefit of direct mail is it allows you to reach thousands of people at a bulk mail rate. You could not do this if you had to mail each piece individually.

- Buy time on local cable T.V. It is surprisingly affordable and if you commit to a block of advertising you can develop Top Of Mind Awareness. TOMA is being there when they want or need you. If you are an affiliate or in an MLM consider doing group advertising and spreading the cost out over several of you. You can have leads routed into one phone number and divided out to all advertisers or have each ad display a different phone number.

- Pass out your CD-ROM or diskette business cards at special events. It could be at trade shows, seminars, fairs, etc.

- Get 250 free business cards here and leave them everywhere you go. http://www.vistaprint.com livepreviewmyprofilefrontsideaspx.jpglivepreviewmyprofilebacksideaspx.jpg

- Hold a free offline class and teach people how to use their computer or how to use the internet. You could have your web site on display as an example.

- Give away promotional items such as free mouse pads, screen savers etc. Put your advertising on the mouse pads and give them away at computer or internet events.

- Advertise in card decks. The card deck you advertise in should be targeted toward internet users. You would also want to target your offline advertising to groups of people that will actually be interested in your product or service. If you’re selling business books, you will want to market to business owners. In conclusion, if you have a business that’s only based online using offline advertising to make money online is a great idea because so many people today go online to get information about products and services they are interested in. globalonlineofflinemarketing.JPG

Have You Got Caught Up In The Lies That Are Racing All Over The Interenet and Other News Media?

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Hey I just had to post This Here as it is absolutely Right and I must admit That I have Major Difficulty Understanding How ANYONE would Fall for this RUBBISH??

I absolutely love this topic. I am not a guru or anything, but I have been around and this is what I have found:

I bought into the whole we’ll do the work for you , and no calling, and no selling, blah blah junk. It wasn’t until I started listening to people like Mike, and being a part of my Leaders Team with my business, that I started finally getting it through my head that I had to become a real business person, I had to learn to talk to people, and I had to not only represent my company and customers well, but branding myself crucial . I just cringe when I see the daily ads that come around that say make money doing nothing, or make money in your underwear (yuck). I especially hate it when they tell you that you never have to advertise or talk to people, it’s all lies. I especially get sad because I know that these people that send me those ads, are probably good people that bought into the bogus claims, and I just wish that I could pick those people up and show them exactly how easy it is to make money if you have the right backing, training, and desire.

Branding and Saturation Worries, this is how I dealt with them EASILY(for example, there may be other companies that teach you this stuff, but this is my company’s example, you can see how I think the trend is going to shift):

As far as saturation goes, I do not have to worry about that now with my company, because I’ve been using a business model that uses the power of infomercials and a HAP (Home Agent Program) program. This is Direct Response Network Marketing. I get everyday consumers (those who do not buy from the internet), and team members through this company’s shows on television. It’s funny but a lot of times when a customer calls to order, lets say a nutrition product they’ve seen on the show, they sometimes end up on our team. How is that? Well, when we speak to consumers, we become their personal consultant on whatever product they buy. We are taught to treat these people like gold, to create a good re pore with them. We also give them our home phone numbers so that if they have any questions about a product, or want to order more, they know they can contact us personally. We also follow up with them 2 weeks later to be sure they received their product and to see how they are doing with it. This is how we brand ourselves with our company. They are surprised to find out that we are doing this from our homes and they get really intrigued and want to know how they can do it too. There have been many people who have joined our team that way and they were not marketers at all, but they sure were trained to speak to people, brand themselves, etc.

But I have noticed a HUGE increase in saturation in many of these online businesses (like GDI, Berry Tree, etc). I tend to shy away from them because knowing that these are internet based businesses (or at least that’s what most people who join them treat them as), I know I would not get as many sign ups if I joined them now, as when they first launched, but I sure would not forget to show opportunities to those people who are not online specifically. I personally wanted to reach consumers and team members online and offline.

You are leaving tons of money on the table….:

1. when people are closed minded and think they can take the easy way by not doing business-like things, like branding yourself, and learning to speak to people.

2. totally forgetting about those potential customers and team members out there who do not spend day and night on the computers, but may love what you have to offer. Sometimes you must go offline and let those people out there know about you.

When there is talk of saturation, there shouldn’t be worry, because there are millions of people out there who just might like to hear what you have to offer them.

Now back to your question: my question is…is the age of Personal Branding and Magnetic Sponsoring DEAD?!?!

I say a HUGE Hell No, . Mike has certainly taught me a few things with Magnetic Sponsoring that I use when I speak to potential team members. And, you’ve seen exactly how I brand myself, by creating trust, care, and communication.

What You Mean I might Have To Give Something Up?-Why?

Monday, October 15th, 2007

When I first began in the networking industry some 27 years ago, I was told by one of my first mentors, that unless I was okay with skipping a meal from time to time, while getting my business off the ground, that I really wasn’t paying the full price for success! :)

I was also told that if I couldn’t get used to eating quickly, between making and taking phone calls, that I wasn’t truly putting the pedal to the metal.

Truth is, I’ve done both and a few more to boot.

And this is because I learned many years ago, that 90% of getting what you want, is knowing exactly what you have to give up, to get it.

And YES! This is Success Principle #3.

I repeat…

Success Principle #3 is…90% of getting what you want, is knowing what you have to give up, to get it!

Whether it’s skipping a meal to get a deal done. Eating quickly, Economizing your budget with $2.99 Fast Food Specials, giving up TV, spending time with the wrong people even if they are your relatives. Being lazy. Smoking, drinking, stuffing yourself at the dinner table, reading the newspaper, watching CNN, (constantly Negative News) or the BBC (Biggest Bullshit Channel), it doesn’t matter.

The list of things YOU must give up to succeed far beyond what you’ve ever experienced, does exist. ;-)

But only YOU know what you must give up, in order to get what you want.

Matter of fact, if you wrote down all the habits you have that you KNOW keep you from success, I bet you’re more aware of them than you think. Yes Go on and write that list NOW!

So the key then, is to be sure you stop yourself from doing the things that take you backward, away from your dreams and goals and replace them with the things you know are going to bring you closer to them. Yes Now Write Down Your DREAMS & GOALS..Yes I mean NOW!

Do this over time and you will see just how simple reaching your goals and living your dreams can be. It’s the Slight Edge Principle and it is either working for you, or against you.

You choose.

Don’t wait. Make your list of things to give up, so that you can get on the path to having everything you want.

Don’t wait. Do it today. Make your list. Take care of it.
Or…your bad habits will take care of YOU!

Success Principle #4 will be coming in a few more days.

Until then, go make something BIG happen.

Axel

P.S. In your business, there is no shallow end. It’s truly sink or swim. Why continue to struggle with talking to the wrong people when the right people could be right before your eyes. MyNetworksuccess will assist you in your Prospecting so you will know who to prospect, how to prospect them and who does or does not, qualify for your time.

7 Simple Strategies to Sell More of Your Products Online

7 Simple Strategies to Sell More of Your Products Online
by Steve Nash

So, you sell online - congratulations (and welcome to the 21st century ;-) )!

But does your online store sell enough? Chances are you could do with increasing your sales figures. And this article discusses seven simple strategies to help you sell more of your products online. And they are:

1) Build Trust In You And Your Website
2) Get Listed On Comparison Shopping Sites
3) Sell More Via Affiliate Marketing
4) Get More Visitors Using Pay-Per-Click Search Engines
5) Get Your Products Listed On Froogle
6) Use The Power Of Testimonials
7) Build A Store That Sells

So, let’s consider these strategies in a little more detail.

1) BUILD TRUST IN YOU AND YOUR WEBSITE

What do I mean by trust?

1.1) Well, you could simply feature a prominent photograph of your real-world store on the website. (If you can add photos of the staff, or include information about you that is relevant to the products you sell, then even better!)

1.2) You could also provide lots of helpful buying advice, relevant to the products that you sell online.

1.3) You might decide to write a regular online newsletter, to stay in touch with your site visitors.

Trust is important, online; trust will improve your conversion rate, and you *will* sell more products online.

Example:
* AGMillers: photo of a real meat butchers store
- http://www.agmillers.co.uk/

2) GET LISTED ON COMPARISON SHOPPING SITES

Dealtime, Kelkoo (and Pricerunner) are known as comparison shopping sites - they allow visitors to compare prices online. Add your products to their databases, and these popular websites could well deliver you lots of ready-to-buy customers. Costs to get listed on comparison shopping sites vary.

If your site offers competitively priced products, then getting listed on a comparison shopping site may well drive serious amounts of ‘ready-to-buy’ visitors to your site. (Kelkoo UK boasts of being a top-10 UK web property!)

Resource:
* Pricerunner

3) SELL MORE VIA AFFILIATE MARKETING

How do you think Amazon sells so much product online? Yes, it builds trust in itself and operates a highly sales-focused website, but Amazon also utilises affiliate marketing.

Amazon is not the only online merchant doing this. Affiliate marketing is now a mainstream sales channel for many online vendors. As such, serious money can be made as an affiliate, earning commissions on sales or leads generated from his/her site. And that means that affiliate marketing attracts the brightest and the best, and they may well want to make money by promoting YOUR products.

There are start-up (and running) costs associated with affiliate marketing, and you will also need to put time and effort into this particular sales channel. But as long as you ‘work the numbers out’ properly, a well-operated affiliate program could really boost your online sales.

Affiliate marketing works. Find out if it can work for you.

Example:
* Digital Cameras (Amazon associate site, ahem!)

==Aside==
N.B. Find a list of the major UK affiliate networks in this online version of the article:

4) GET MORE VISITORS USING PAY-PER-CLICK SEARCH ENGINES

Paying per click for visitors to your website - via specific keyword searches on sites like Espotting, Overture and Google (ads appear at top, and in right-hand column) - can generate low-cost, targeted visitors to your site, when you want!

Do watch your spending however, and make sure that your bids are sensible.

Again, using pay-per-click search engines takes time and a not-inconsiderable amount of expertise, but a well executed pay-per-click search engine campaign can drive highly-targeted visitors to your site, and increase your sales.

Resource:
* Bid at pay-per-click search engines (Article)

5) GET YOUR PRODUCTS LISTED ON FROOGLE

What is Froogle? Well, to quote what is says on the website: “froo.gle (fru’gal) n. Smart shopping through Google.”

Yes, Google (and now Google UK) actually lists vendor products on its website, via a Froogle search. Your products could appear on Froogle and even directly on Google (who knows?). And there is no cost, either.

Froogle is coming to UK, soon. And if you want to get your products listed on Froogle UK (I recommend that you at least consider it), then visit Google today.

Example:
* Froogle search for coffee machines
- http://froogle.google.co.uk/froogle?q=coffee+
machine&sampleq=1

6) USE THE POWER OF TESTIMONIALS

Are your customers happy? How do you know - they tell you, yes? So do you put these positive comments on your website, and if not, why not?

If you are lucky enough to have happy customers then tell the world about it, or at least inform site visitors who are considering purchasing from you. Use the power of testimonials to encourage others to buy from you.

You know using testimonials on your site makes sense, so I’ll say no more! (Just check out the example below, to get some ideas! ;-) )

Example:
* Concept 2 (testimonials on home page!)

7) BUILD A STORE THAT SELLS

Does your online store sell?

Frankly, there is little point in generating thousands of visitors to your site if your store does not sell.

So, where to begin. Well, you won’t go wrong if you do these things right:
- Provide clear and consistent site navigation
- Put good quality product photos on your site
- Get your site designed by a professional
- Place as few barriers to purchasing as possible

I could go on; I won’t.

Resource:
* Don’t Make Me Think (by Steve Krug, all about sensible site design. Highly recommended.)

So, there you have it.

7 simple strategies to help you sell more online - just implement one method as soon as you can.

The 5th Gen Y Secret Finally Revealed! - ‘Why Text Message Marketing Is The Future And Why It’s So Effective With Gen Y’s’… :D

Just recently I flew down to Orlando and Ocala Florida to be the Key Note presenter at a few opportunity meetings.
That night as I was being driven back to the Luxury hotel I was staying at in Orlando I got reminded on my cell phone’s calendar that I had a conference call to host about a big event that was coming up.

I had about 15 min. until the call started and knew that Gen Y’s are spur of the moment type of people. I then sent a text message that reminded them of the time of the call, and the number to dial including the access code.

The cell phone I had at the time I could send the same instant message to 10 people’s cell phones at a time… :-P

I sent it to about 50 Gen Y’s in my organization in about 5 min. When the call had started I noticed that about 45 out of the 50 came on the call! I know that if I hadn’t done that there would have been about 30-40 less on the call!

The cool part of this story was that the distributors that were in the car with me taking me to my hotel, got lost as I was on the call, they got lost for two reasons.
One, I was getting them pumped up and distracted from my talk, and two they were from Minnesota not Florida.

One of the things that really got the people on the call excited was I was telling them here and there that I was in the car in Florida and we were pretty much lost and it was about 11:00 at night EST, but all of the sudden I saw that we were accidentally driving into the entrance of Disney World…

So what did I say…? ;-)

‘I’m going to Disney World and it’s all because of the company!’

Another ‘Hidden Secret of The Gen Y Expert’ will be revealed next week…

A friend of mine Big Al sent me this the other day and yeah it Shocked me!

Is this what your downline is upto?

Some distributors spend hours and hours online in social networks and forums sending emails to each other, pitching their opportunities, creating “conditional” friendships, and spend their prospecting time secluded with their keyboard.

They believe if they write the perfect email, someone will join their business. But what if someone writes a better email? Now their distributor is gone.

Or maybe someone will join their beautiful site. But what happens when their new distributor finds another beautiful site that also has Flash?

If you are frustrated with your downline lacking focus, playing pen pal with other freebie-seeking prospects, what are you going to do about it?

Well, before I answer that, I am not against online marketing and online prospecting. It’s just that there is a lot of competition in social networks and forums.

And for many professional networkers, online prospecting is the perfect thing to do late at night when they can’t call or visit prospects. There are “live” prospects online
24 hours a day. So yes, there is a place for online prospecting.

But back to our problem.

If your distributors are trading emails with people who say, “I’ll look at your program if you look at my program,”
or if their prospects are saying: “I think this will complement the other 34 affiliate programs I have,” well, they won’t be building a strong downline anytime soon.

So how do you get your downline to focus on something more solid? Something more long-term?

There are several ways. For instance, maybe you could educate them that the first thing you should do when you get a prospect online, is to communicate with them offline.
This definitely sets you apart from the other digital relationships.

Or better yet, teach your downline great marketing strategies so they attract focused prospects instead of prospects addicted to online chatter. Show them ways of attracting and educating the right kind of prospects.

Or, teach your downline how to market and prospect in the real world. Now they have a great offline business, and when they make contact with someone online, they will be more confident because of their offline success.

Playing pen pal with bored, unfocused prospects may be fun, but not profitable. And with the time wasted trading emails, your downline will feel they are building a business because they are busy.

Yes, the downline feels they are working. They feel that they are doing lots of activity. They are spending hours “building” their business, but not really.

They may be simply doing a safe activity that they like.

And that’s robbing them of the opportunity to build a business and a huge bonus check.

Practical Tips I Learned from my Kids and Pets

By Mark Helsel

________________________________________
Mark Helsel says he has learned more about network marketing from his 3 children (and their pets) than from anything else he has read or heard. He’s compiled these revelations into a new book. It’s called “52 Practical Training Tips for Network Marketers”. Here are two of Mark’s personal favorities.
Sometimes the simplest ideas work best!
Last fall I noticed my 7 year old daughter, Lexi, picking up walnut shells in our yard. After just watching her for awhile, my curiosity got the best of me and finally I asked her, “Hi honey, whatchayadoin?”
“Oh, just collecting walnut shells,” she said rather matter-of-factly.
“What are you going to do with them?” I asked.
“I’m going to sell them,” she proclaimed.
Now, I was really curious! “So, who are you going to sell them to?”
“Everyone, daddy,” she said, as if it should be very obvious.
I had to ask just one more question: “So, tell me why someone would want to buy your walnut shells.”
For a moment, she stopped picking up the walnut shells and looked at me with her big, beautiful brown eyes. Then she quite confidentially stated, “Because I’m going to ask them.” Dumbfounded and basically speechless, I could only mutter, “Well, that’s a very good reason.”
What a concept! They will buy because she asks them. It’s a proven fact that the #1 reason people buy is because someone asked them to buy. My daughter, who’s never had any sales training, already inherently knows that. This week, apply that little gem of wisdom to your business. Double the number of people you simply ask to buy your product and see if it doesn’t increase your sales. It worked for Lexi.
Are you like Tippy?
Our family pet is an adorable (and huge) lop-eared rabbit. Her name is Tippy. We keep her in a pen at the bottom of our yard. The first few years we had Tippy, she would gladly come out of her cage and play with us. But this spring, that changed. After a dreadfully long and cold PA winter in which she was confined to her pen for almost 4 months, we couldn’t wait for the first nice day of spring to let Tippy out of her pen. As we opened her pen door, we just knew she would jump right out and bounce around the yard, as she had done many times before. Much to our surprise, however, she did not. Instead, she went over to the edge and gazed out at the yard. After a while, she retreated to her resting spot in her pen and plopped down. Even after many days in which we have opened her pen door, she still has not come out.
Although I cannot say for sure what may be going on between her big loppy ears, I have a hunch. I believe that over the long winter, Tippy grew so comfortable in her pen that she actually no longer has any desire to stray from it. In spite of a beautiful big yard for her to romp around in, she now chooses to stay where she is: in her secure little pen. It got me thinking about how many people are just like Tippy. Perhaps in their “younger years” they tried new and exciting things. But as they grew older (and wiser?) they became secure in their ways. In a sense, they have allowed themselves to be conditioned to avoid change and risk.
My training tip for you this week is to avoid at all costs becoming “set in your ways.” Instead, embrace the challenges and risks that come your way. In fact, don’t wait for them to come your way; seek them out.
Just yesterday I noticed a wild rabbit hopping around in our yard, not far from Tippy’s cage. I couldn’t help but think of the excitement Tippy could have been enjoying had she decided to get out of her pen. You know how rabbits are!
